Spyderco Gauntlet Select Sharpening System.

The Gauntlet is a simple, easy-to-use sharpening system that allows even novice users to make razor-sharp edges in just a few minutes without electricity, oil, water or complicated clamps or attachments. The injection-molded, impact-resistant plastic base has an integrated hand guard and specially designed holes that hold the sharpening rods at the perfect 40-degree angle (20 degrees per side) to create sharp, durable edges.

The star-shaped holes allow the rods to be rotated to expose new grinding surfaces or to orient the edges of the rods for grinding jagged edges. The Gauntlet Select is ideal for most sharpening needs and includes a pair of fine ceramic rods. For very blunt knives or to re-profile badly worn edges, CBN rods are also available separately.
